are Digital Aerial Photographs overlaid with our TopoDepot Vector Topographic Maps.
This combination of high resolution (1 meter/pixel) aerial photographs with our
precision vector data gives you the perfect topographic map for your CAD or GIS
Program.
The aerial photos give you a birds-eye view of an area;
while the vector data gives you map information such as topography, street names,
section lines, feature names, and political boundaries.
Both the vector layers and the photos are geo-referenced
so they overlay exactly. Use them within your AutoCAD, ArcView, Microstation,
or other CAD or GIS Programs.
Aerial photos by themselves are beautiful, but lack
detailed human readable information; i.e., street names, section lines etc. On the
other hand, vector data has a great deal of information, but lacks visual interest
and a link to ground truth. Combined together, the result is far superior to any
mere paper map, including the USGS 7.5 minute series paper maps!
